Of total participants, only 22.8% students had examined oral cancer lesion before the study. Almost all (99%) students reported they wanted lacked knowledge and wanted more information on oral cancer.
The undergraduate students lacked knowledge on the identification and detection of oral cancer. They were also not examining patient's oral mucosa routinely. Many students did not have sufficient information on risk factors and associated oral cancer lesions.

Adolescence period is a critical stage of musculoskeletal development and carrying heavy backpack to school daily puts them at risk of musculoskeletal discomfort. This study aims to find out the association of backpack weight with musculoskeletal status among adolescents.
A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted among 291 grade 4 to 8 students from three government schools of Lalitpur. Data was analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics.
Around 68% of the adolescents carried schoolbag of weight greater than 10% of their body weight. Similarly, 66.7% perceived musculoskeletal pain of which 29.9% had ever missed school due to pain, 70.1% felt tired while carrying their schoolbag and 23.4% adopted forward/sideways leaning posture while carrying their schoolbag. Age (p< 0.001), backpack percentage to body weight (p< 0.001) and perceived weight of schoolbag (p= 0.006) were significantly associated with musculoskeletal pain. Similarly, age (p= 0.023), sex (p= 0.005), grade (p= 0.030) and perceived weight of schoolbag (p= 0.007) were significantly associated with tiredness while carrying schoolbag. Also, backpack percentage to body weight (p= 0.008), duration of carrying schoolbag (p= 0.010) and perceived weight of schoolbag (p= 0.001) were significantly associated with posture assumed while carrying schoolbag.
Students carrying backpack weight more than recommended limit are more likely to develop musculoskeletal pain and change in posture while carrying their schoolbag. Thus, necessary steps must be taken to further analyze the situation and develop management strategies on reducing backpack weight and its possible effect on adolescents.

Cervical cancer is preventable so awareness can be as effective as any other method to prevent it.The study aims to assess awareness and attitude regarding cervical cancer screening among reproductive age women in a tertiary level hospital, Kathmandu, Nepal.
A descriptive cross sectional study was carried out among 170 reproductive age women attending Nepal Medical College Teaching Hospital using purposive sampling technique. A semi structured interview schedule was used to collect data via face to face interview. Data was summarized using frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation. Multiple logistic regression was used to determine the factors associated with awareness and attitude.
Among 170 reproductive age women, mean age was 31.49 ± 8.70 years. BIRB 796 mouse Majority 151 (88.8%) of the women had heard of cervical cancer while 119 (70%) of them had heard about cervical cancer screening. Among them, only 17 (11.3%) had adequate awareness regarding cervical cancer screening. Seventy five (46.6%) of the womemen.
Chronic unreduced dislocation of elbow is a rare injury. Treatment options include open reduction internal fixation with K wire, replacement arthroplasty, excisional arthroplasty, arthrodesis, and hinged external fixator. The aim of this study is to determine the outcome of open reduction internal fixation with trans-olecranon K wire for neglected elbow dislocation.
This is a retrospective study done in three rural hospital of Karnali. Hospital records were reviewed from July 2015 to May 2018 to identify 11 cases who underwent open reduction internal fixation for neglected elbow dislocation. Pre and Postoperative outcome was assessed using range of motion and Mayo Elbow Performance Index. Data analysis was done using SPSS version 17.
The average age of patient was 22.7 years (range 9-50 years). Non dominant hand was involved in 54.55%. The average preoperative elbow extension was 5.9 degree whereas postoperative extension was 15.9 degree. The average preoperative and postoperative elbow flexion was 24.5? and 113.6? respectively. Preoperative and postoperative Mayo elbow performance index was 18.6 and 86.3 respectively. Outcome was excellent in four patients, good in five patients and fair in two patients with one case having superficial infection.
Open reduction and internal fixation with trans-olecranon k wire is an effective treatment method for neglected elbow dislocation. Postoperatively, elbow function is better with minimal complications.

It is imperative to have adequate knowledge about medicines being used for their proper administration so as to obtain desirable therapeutics effects. This study aims to assess the medicine prescribing pattern and patients' knowledge about medicine use at different level of health care settings in Nepal.
A cross sectional study was conducted in randomly selected 88 health facilities in Nepal. Altogether 2200 patients, taken randomly after the doctor visit, were interviewed and assessed for the prescription.
Out of total drugs prescribed from 88 health facilities (6,175), 68.91% were essential drugs, 23.74 % were antibiotics and 61 % of medicines were prescribed in generic names. And among patients receiving medicines, adequate response on medicine use was received on 49% of medicines out of 3,806 medicines dispensed.
Greater percentages of medicines were prescribed from essential drug list in health facilities. Knowledge on medicine use was poor among people.
