Great product, super easy to install, and very much worth the money. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to let their 7.3 breathe, and sound really cool too. Deleting catalytic converters is also not uncommon, but is not something we recommend as it can negatively affect sound and performance.
The diesels of the era were not like the powerful trucks of today, but engines that got better fuel economy than their gasoline counterparts. In at least one case, going diesel even meant giving up on power. The Blue Oval believed it was possible for diesel engines to evolve from thrifty powerplants to ones that delivered a kind of capability, durability, and power never seen before. However, high quality performance mufflers such as Paradox Performance Mufflers offer flow just as good -and sometimes better- than straight pipes. Proponents of Dodge still love the 5.9-liter Cummins 12-valve straight-six turbodiesel and the fact that these engines will probably continue to work after the heat death of the universe.
The problem is, straight pipes are usually obnoxious in their loudness. Your go-to spot for information on the exhaust system, as well as mufflers, catalytic converters, pipes and sensors. Then one day I ran it down to almost E, truck never died, but a few days later I needed 6 injectors.
If you want to run a full kit, it will slip in just like your factory kit without any modifications. The sound quality from straight pipes and muffler deletes is often very low, and simply cannot match the sound quality of performance mufflers. In the early 1980s, right around when the International Harvester name departed from light-duty on-road vehicles, Ford embarked on a journey for a new kind of diesel truck.
All the electronics work, including the lovely and brilliant steering wheel controls for audio and climate controls (why don’t more vehicles have this?!). My brother has a 2005 F-450 Lariat FX4 6.0L that I found for him (admittedly I didn’t know the mileage on it when I me tioned it to him). There are a number of issues that plagued the 6.0 engine during parts of its life. Thankfully, time heals a lot of wounds, and there are now solutions to the engine’s infamous issues. We are a one-stop diesel performance shop for everything you need.
Sure, a stock 7.3-liter doesn’t make a ton of power compared to today’s trucks, but these are engines that can last longer than the metal bodies in which they’re packaged. Aftermarket exhaust systems and mufflers can give you the sound and flow you want without the negatives that come with straight pipe exhaust. 1hr with basic hand tools done on the ground of your driveway or garage. Cutting may be be required to fit shorter wheelbase bed/cab configurations. If you don’t want to deal with the negatives that come with straight pipes and muffler deletes, you’ll need an alternative.
We are the only business on the market currently offering this system. We intend to eventually also incorporate a lower-buck option without a polished finish. Our exhaust system speaks for itself and it will guarantee a durable, long lasting finish which will not rust. These up pipes fit perfectly, no trouble at all and look awesome. This kit works perfectly for these trucks, not too loud but also still has a good grumble. DIESELR Corp is a Performance/Repair & Accessories shop based out of Alberta Canada.
When this happens, the solenoid pulls an internal poppet valve off of its seat, allowing high-pressure oil into the injector. That oil comes courtesy of a high-pressure oil circuit charged by the high-pressure oil pump. The HPOP sends high-pressure oil into the injectors, which forces a piston in the injector down, lifting a nozzle.
The kit fits all body styles of Ford Superduty, they come equipped with extra pipes and clamps for longer or shorter wheelbase trucks. Loudness can be a pro or a con depending on your taste and application. Sometimes 6.7 powerstroke straight pipe need or want exhaust that is loud. Straight pipes can usually deliver loudness, but at the price of good sound quality.
Easy InstallationMBRP systems are as much fun to install as to drive with on your Truck. Bolt-on, no weld design makes installation a no hassle one and a half to two hour project. Everything is direct fit to the OEM hangers and you get All the clamps and parts you will need.
Unfortunately, the cylinder pressure under the head is a lot, and has been found to stretch the stock bolts, leading to an eventual blown head gasket. Reportedly, this happens most often with modified engines, but has happened with stock engines as well. It put Ford back into the diesel truck power wars, and its EGR system satisfied emissions regulations. The variable geometry turbo was also great, allowing for hard power early on and throughout the powerband.
But long lengths of straight pipe often results in “cackling”, “popping” and other undesirable sound. Well, it was the tractor we used to harvest corn grain via a mounted picker. It was oversized for that job by most standards, but it did such a great job. Running a straight pipe got rid of excess heat, which helped with the fear of catching anything on fire in the dry fodder and chaff blowing about. The old tractor I used to run the mixer wagon had a straight-piped, naturally aspirated engine. Needless to say, it woke the neighbors if I drove it out on the road.
Tuner Required – Removal of the DPF, CAT, SCR, and/or DOC involves removing and eliminating emission related sensors. A DPF delete capable tuner is required to prevent any check engine light or diagnostic trouble codes from setting. If you don’t already have a DPF delete capable tuner we recommend the Ez lynk here. Most customers will see their parts within 3-5 business days. We will primarily ship with Purolator ground & DHL Express to ensure the fastest shipping possible. Stand out from the crowd with a performance exhaust system that sounds great.
That being said, that doesn’t mean there isn’t a difference in these systems. We proudly carry Flo~Pro because they only use Torca lapjoint style clamps in all their kits whereas most everyone else uses hanger clamps that squish the pipe. Not to mention the contour bent hangers mean 6” to 7” of weld on the hangers versus most exhaust system companies 1”. In our experience it makes a world of difference for getting the most out of your exhaust system no matter if you’re on a budget build or all out competition, FloPro has never let us down.

With a rocket nozzle-like tip, exhaust gasses are literally sucked out of the end of the exhaust, reducing back pressure all they back up to the turbo inlet. Vehicle fitment – 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, & 2021 Ford Powerstroke 6.7 Diesel. Regular can short and long bed along with Crew cab short & long bed. Will not fit cab & chassis trucks without modification.
He’s had other Super Duties, but they were company trucks. This is his first one he’s bought himself, and he likes it a fair bit, even if it has been a bit problematic. I mentioned some “bulletproofing” tactics above, but there are others. Some owners replace the variable geometry turbo with a fixed geometry turbo, conduct more frequent flushing of the oil cooling system, and clean the EGR system. All of this sounds scary, but for some people it’s worth it. In 2020, I owned a Ford E-350 van with a 6.0-liter Power Stroke.
International Harvester’s impact on diesel started in 1932 with the impressive McCormick-Deering TD-40 TracTracTor crawler tractor. The 461 cubic inch four-cylinder engine in this beast got around the problem of cold diesel hard-starting by first slurping up gasoline before switching to diesel. Navistar used to be known as International Harvester, and the company’s history is filled to the brim with machines built for work.
Be assured that we will utilize every resource available to deliver your performance parts to you promptly. Straight pipes are usually loud, and often obnoxious. Modern muscle cars like Ford Mustangs, Chevy Camaros and Dodge Challengers and Chargers have sets of middle and rear resonators/mufflers. This arrangement is also common in sports cars both foreign and domestic.
Some quirks come with HEUI, such as the fact that you technically cannot run it out of oil. A 7.3-liter Power Stroke holds some 15 quarts of oil. Once you run it below 7 quarts or so, the HEUI system just won’t have enough oil to permit an engine start. A lot is going on in the HEUI system, so I’ll try to simplify it. A low-pressure lift pump sends 40 to 70 psi of fuel to the injectors in early Power Strokes. The powertrain control module commands an injection event and the injector driver module triggers the injector solenoids.

Single exhaust has been the most popular choice for the last decade or so. Dual exhaust was big in the 90s but maybe it’s time for a comeback. This one is purely up to preference and what you like. The only deciding factor for some in the dual vs single exhaust debacle is a dual exhaust system can be a little more costly.
When you alter a vehicle's emissions system, you can not simply just remove and unplug it. A special programmer has to be bought and used to fool the computer into thinking those parts are still there and working. The four or five inch debate can come down to two important parts; 1) Do you want the lowest EGTs possible? Do you want a deeper/throater/meaner sounding truck? If yes to either of those two options, then a five inch exhaust is what you’ll want.
Upgrading to Express shipping speed will take 3-4 Business days. Enter your email below to be the first to know about new collections and product launches. We genuinely appreciate your understanding and patience during any unexpected obstacles we may encounter along the way.
Several loose rocker arms, loose pushrods, low pushrods(1 inch gap to rocker arms), several rocker arms almost off their valves. Also found the rubber boot for the AFE air cleaner to engine duct was rotted at the flexible bellows, with a hole in it and gritty dirt inside next duct. This is the second AFE inlet boot that has had this issue. Don't know the root cause, but suspect the performance chip was at least partially at fault. If it's popping through the intake, that leads me to believe the exhaust valves are not opening up on that cylinder. I would say there is not excessive blow-by in that case.
In theory, the 6.0 had the right ingredients to rise to stardom. The new engine had to comply with stricter emissions, but it still made more power out of the factory than its predecessor. Unfortunately, the 6.0 Power Stroke would encounter a long list of issues and give tuners even larger headaches. The 6.0 carries such a reputation today that it’s sometimes called the “6.Blow” and you can sometimes find newer trucks with the 6.0 selling for cheaper than an older truck with a 7.3.
You need low-pressure diesel fuel, a 48-volt, 20-amp coil to operate the spool valve, and high-pressure oil that hopefully isn’t blazing hot. Screw one or more of these up, and the injector can fail. At the same time, International Harvester was looking to build a diesel engine for an automaker with a lineup of pickup trucks.
More or less depending on the severity of the restriction. After deleting the DPF/CAT expect to get a combined mileage of mpg. Larger tires and poor driving habits will skew mileage downward. We provide the option to purchase insurance as we are not responsible for any damage while with a courier, we don’t often see issues, but it does happen. If you purchased insurance we will put in a claim, if no insurance was purchased there will be no refunds or exchanges.
Like anything else, the best course of action regarding your equipment is up to you. Modifications of any kind to the newest of tractors or trucks will almost certainly void your warranty, which is one of the reasons to purchase new machinery in the first place. In good news, though, either he or the first owner put on the coolant filtration system, and I believe the head studs have been replaced with the ARP units.
Operating it under any circumstances required earmuffs … and good earmuffs at that. Think about the heavily modified trucks and tractors you see at pulling events. The amount of pressure they “exhaust” is extraordinary – way more than a normal farm tractor or pickup would create. A muffler on those beasts would end up heading for the sky (or scarier – the spectators). The age-old argument for deleting the muffler from a truck or tractor was the claim of horsepower boosts. Whether more horsepower is achieved can be a subject of discussion, but it is certain the “tone” of your engine will change.
Yes when I bought them they had over 100,000 miles and now they have over 300,000 miles but the amount of crap I had to go through to keep them running was incredible. I wouldn’t wish this experience on my worst enemy. Powdered-metal connecting rods also made a return in the 6.0. These rods were panned during their short life in the 7.3, but they found a good home in the 6.0 engine.
Just yards from where I write this, I have two tractors sitting in the shed that are fitted with straight pipes instead of mufflers. I also have a few more “shed mates” (tractors are like potato chips … one just won’t satisfy) I wouldn’t operate without a muffler. My brother pick up a used dually with the 6.0 on the cheap.
The folks in love with the General dig the 6.6-liter Duramax LBZ turbodiesel V8 for its ability to produce truckloads of power without the complications brought on by modern emissions systems. People are still paying near-new prices for these trucks even though it’s been nearly two decades since they were in production. Diameter mandrel bent main piping features a muffler delete and terminates in a Single Passenger Side Rear exit with 6in. Polished Welded-Single Wall-Angle Cut-Rolled Edge-Intercooled tips. This emissions-legal filter-back exhaust kit has been tuned to create Mild interior and Moderate exterior sound levels. Muffler deletes and straight pipe exhaust can provide a lot of loudness, but honestly not much else.
Will continue to purchase more products from here. Agree with everyone else on the couplers but for the price not that big of a deal. Paradox goes above and beyond other performance mufflers because of their Patented Tuning Fork Technology. It’s why they have such high quality sound and highly effective “drone” control.
If you are building a race truck then you pretty much have no need for a muffler. If you are planning on driving on the street you’re going to want a muffler to keep the noise down or to not upset any local/state laws. International called this engine the VT365, and it was sold with horsepower ratings as low as 175 HP to as high as 230 HP. The G2 fuel system uses high-pressure injectors developed jointly by International, Sturman Industries and Siemens Diesel Systems Technology to more efficiently manage fuel consumption. Higher injection pressure combined with four valves per cylinder increases performance and fuel economy while lowering emissions. The key to the VT 365’s increased performance, despite tighter emission controls, rests on several components. First is the Electronic Variable Response Turbocharger (EVRT), which provides improved throttle response and peak torque capability at lower rpm levels.
However, if you receive a faulty product or the wrong product, we will send you a replacement. Exhaust Material – Available in aluminized steel or T-409 stainless steel. Aluminized steel is our most popular but will eventually accumulate surface rust. So if your testing to see if you actually got stainless; beware that a magnet will still stick to it. We suggest the stainless upgrade if you regularly operate your truck on salted winter roads.
Straight pipes can refer to muffler deletes, but they can also refer to removing everything in the exhaust system that isn’t pipe. This includes resonators and catalytic converters. The point about the cab is fitting for today’s tractors as well. Its exhaust stack, like many modern tractors, runs right up the right-side front pillar of the cab.
Some cutting may be required to fit shorter wheelbase bed/cab configurations. The package includes clamps, hangers, and hardware, although you may need to reuse some factory hardware. A downpipe back exhaust system just means you are going to get everything from the downpipe (the pipe at the very back of the turbo) to the tailpipe (the part that sticks out the back of the truck).
While blown gaskets are an infamous problem with the 6.0, it’s not the only source of headaches. It’s located at the front of the lifter valley and integrated into the block itself. That’s a lot of important parts that depend on the oil cooler. By the early 2000s, diesel engines were ramping up in power, leaving the old reliable Navistar engine in the dust.
Well, it depends on what you want from the exhaust system and your truck. For most trucks, the difference in these exhaust systems comes down to how it sounds. Unless you’re making some serious power and running a massive turbocharger, the size of your exhaust system will make virtually no difference in the power of your truck. From the vehicle specific Muffler design to the fully mandrel bent tubing to minimal bend degree angles, your MBRP performance system gets exhaust out fast. An MBRP performance exhaust system is the starting point to getting the most from cold air intakes, programmers, modules and downloaders. Enhance the performance and efficiency with our premium 5 Inch Turbo Back Exhaust 6.7 Powerstroke system, expertly designed for models from 2011 to 2022.

Built from heavy duty aluminized steel our Installer Series performance exhaust systems offer a value price without compromising on the quality built into every component. While the seams are a major point of rust through with some budget systems our fully sealed tubing adds years to your system. Constructed to the same specifications as our top of the line Pro Series we back this line with an industry leading 3 Year Warranty. If you’re thinking about changing the exhaust on your vehicle, you may have considered straight pipe exhaust or a muffler delete. In this article, we weigh the pros and cons of muffler deletes and straight pipes against aftermarket performance mufflers.
This module is the one sending 48-volt pulses to the coils and while its lower than the 100 to 120 volts utilized by the 7.3, any low-voltage problems with the truck could cause running issues. Additionally, the FICM itself is known for eventually failing. Since we’re talking about oil, let’s look at the injectors. Oil pressurized as high as 3,600 PSI enters the injector through an electronically-actuated spool valve. The oil-actuated injector fires fuel into the cylinder at 26,000 PSI, 5,000 PSI better than the outgoing 7.3 engine. There are a lot of parts that can fail related to the injectors.
The Ford 7.3-liter Power Stroke started life with a different company and with a different name. Our readers with experience in heavier trucking are familiar with the Power Stroke as the Navistar T444E. These engines served as the backbones of fleets for decades. If you were a driver in the 1990s or, heck, even today, there’s a chance your streets were plowed by a truck with one of these engines. If you were a kid like I was, you started each day with the familiar clackety sound of a DT466E or a T444E in the yellow school bus that picked you up. T444Es found homes in everything from box trucks to garbage vehicles.
General Motors was already married to Detroit Diesel, but Ford turned out to be a great marriage partner. Ford wanted power and International Harvester wanted to deliver. Many companies for a lot of years offered DPF-delete kits, and many still do. You just won't find them (or their required PCM tuning) here at Stage 3.
So for the sake of horsepower and turning the wife’s head (she acts like she doesn’t care – but I know better), the chrome stack stays. For me personally, my straight piping adventures were primarily on older tractors with turbocharged motors. In those cases, the turbo tends to serve as a bit of a muffler; at least I think it tones down the blare as compared to a naturally aspirated motor.
It sounds like bulletproofing is a must if you want to send power to the heavens. Either way, it doesn’t hurt to spend some extra cash to zap known issues. Yet, my van, which was stock, still drove on its original head gaskets and even still had its emissions equipment intact.
I put this together for a customer, for the millionth time, on which exhaust system is right for a 6.7 Powerstroke. I realized; why don’t I make a blog post that explains which is the best exhaust for a 6.7 Powerstroke? Then I can point all my customers to that instead of repeating myself. Diesel Particulate Filters (DPF) are cleaned through regeneration in which scorching exhaust gas temperatures can last up to 20 minutes while driving. The Monster Exhaust massive over sized tip is aimed out to the side of the truck. The stock exhaust tubing measures a mere 3.5" on the outside, compared to the Monster Exhaust's massive 5" outer diameter as such the Banks system offers a 110% greater flow area than stock.
You can see the best results from using a downpipe back system for two reasons, 1) if you go up in diameter, you are going to lower EGTs. In a world of companies making disparate parts, Banks engineers the entire engine, not just its components. The proof of Banks’ expertise is its list of national championships and world records as well as the biggest military engine contract of the century. Of all the possible options, the U.S. military chose the Banks D866T engine for its high performance and durability. With over 66 years of breakthroughs and patents in high-performance gas and diesel engine development—including turbocharging and drivetrain, Banks has no rival. All exhaust systems and DPF/CAT delete pipes are final sale and not eligible for a refund or return.
5 years ago my mechanic who eventually became full time convinced me to leave the gas Fords for diesel Fords and said it would be a great idea to get 6.0’s because they were great trucks. As I said earlier, the 7.3-liter Power Stroke is known for relative bulletproof reliability in stock form. Tuners have also found the engine to be receptive to taking on more power, too. The aFe POWER D.A.S. PLUS induction system combines a Dynamic Air Scoop (D.A.S.) and a high-performance aFe POWER drop-in Pro DRY S filter. Together, they work seamlessly to enhance the efficiency of your factory airbox by maximizing the flow of cool ambient air throughout the system.
Available in oiled and dry air filter media to accommodate your style of maintenance. AFe products are dyno tested with our in-house DynoJet, and our airflow products are also flow bench tested, for performance you can count on. Service manager wanted to avoid having truck in 2 pieces as customer stated he was going to put a Cummins in it if it needed a motor. He changed his mind, now have cab fully lifted and new motor here, just waiting for install kit that is back ordered til the cows come home. I did pull the head and found the cause, though. The roller lifters flat spotted on the cam and when clearances got too great, lost contact with the pushrods/rocker arms.
That was the 4th (and last) Ford our family purchased. I was a “casualty” of the desiccant cooling system issues present in the Escapes. Ford used what essentially was a cardboard “bag” attached to the receiver/dryer in the AC system.
If you’re looking to significantly cut down the drone, without changing your exhaust note too much, we recommend checking out the FLO-PRO Twister Mufflers. They spiralize your exhaust flow with their corkscrew design, it’s designed to maintain the sound of your exhaust from the outside, but stop any drone you may have inside the cab. Exhaust MaterialOur exhaust systems are crafted from T-409 stainless steel. Unlike T-304 stainless steel, T-409 is still magnetic. If you’re testing to confirm the material, be aware that a magnet will still stick to it, which is a normal characteristic of T-409 stainless steel.
Chevy has an updated part so just order 6 of those with this kit and you’re golden (they were in stock at my local Chevy dealer). Because the DPF clogs up, it increases backpressure. Due to this pressure, the fuel flow is hugely disturbed and slowed down. Therefore, when you remove this filter, the fuel flows much easily and faster, increasing the overall fuel mileage.
Rough sound and potential legal issues easily outweigh the fact that straight pipes are by default the cheapest exhaust option. Whereas quality performance mufflers cost at least $80, straight pipes can cost as little as $20 plus installation. If you’re loyal to the Blue Oval, the Navistar/Ford 7.3-liter Power Stroke is a legendary engine. It’s been over two decades since the last 7.3 was built, yet enthusiasts continue to pay tens of thousands to own an example of one of greatest diesel engines of all time.
Before we dive into it, let’s define exactly what straight pipes and muffler deletes are. Upgrade your Ford Mustang with this performance OER air filter! With up to a 57% increase in flow over stock, this Pro 5R air filter features factory-oiled media for maximum performance. Its progressive bump seal design and polyurethane frame makes it extremely durable and simple to install. Established in 2019, SPELAB is a direct manufacturer of automotive performance parts, including intake, exhaust, engine, and cooling systems, as well as interior and exterior parts. With a focus on quality, performance, and service, we export over 3 million USD annually to customers across North America, South America, Asia, the Middle East, and Europe.
If you are on the fence do it it will bring a smile to your face and a frown to a liberal. It is what your truck is supposed to sound like and run like from factory. Cab & Chassis models will require modifications to be made for the pipe to fit. We send you a step-by-step instruction guide and have a full time support staff to help you with any questions you may have on the installation. We will ship our products within Canada and the United States.
Removing the cap would reduce crankcase pressure and prevent the PCV from sucking up oil. I think your air filter may be restricted or your crankcase vent is flowing too much air allowing it to suck up oil. Some trucks may run into fitment issues (especially those with airbags or full-size spare) but we have found a way to stuff these into almost any truck. If you have enough beer, patience, and maybe some whiskey you will get it in. That being said, the FLO-PRO & MBRP Kits fit very well and have made their piping fit with pretty much any application.
Fixed my annoying intermittent coolant drip and now I have the peace of mind that the fitting is secured instead of just being held in by the oring tension. Had to cut one of the small holes off of the little piece with one big and two small holes in it to clear a bracket but still very impressed. About 5k miles on it since I stalled and everything it holding up well.
This is why all the Duramax exhausts are labeled as Downpipe back. Fords also can’t fit anything bigger than a 4” downpipe (unless you’re running an OBS, then you’re in 3” territory). What is the DPF and is it Worth Doing a DPF Delete? Most post-2007 diesel vehicles are equipped with a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) for emissions control.
The nozzle then opens and 3,000 psi of fuel pressure multiplies to 21,000 psi of fuel pressure in the cylinder. Directly replace your Ford Diesel Power Stroke restrictive charge pipes with aFe POWER’s BladeRunner free-flowing, heat-resistant aluminum charge pipes. Smooth transitions in the mandrel-bent aluminum pipes decrease turbulence and minimize pressure loss, increasing horsepower and torque. Our engineers use state of the art technology to design and manufacture the highest quality performance products in the industry. Most of these trucks (other than Cummins) are limited by their downpipe either way. So, no, you’re not getting much more flow with a 5” because your 3” or 4” downpipe is restricting your entire exhaust system.
As DrivingLine explains, the 7.3’s engine revved low and submitted a lot of torque to the rods. The 6.0 revs more and the rods live an easier life. Reportedly, the rods in the 6.0 are known for durability. Other than that, I agree- if the ex valves are stuck closed it will pop back strongly into the intake manifold when the intakes open. Unfortunately, problems started getting reported in 2003 while these engines were still new. HEUI joins forces with six head bolts per cylinder, a Garrett turbocharger, forged connecting rods, and a fluid-to-fluid oil cooler to provide high performance and a lifespan that could outlive you. Later examples of the 7.3 got a wastegate for the turbo and an air-to-air intercooler. There was also a brief moment between 2001 and 2003 when powdered metal con-rods were used. International Harvester was even one of the first American companies to put a diesel engine in a light-duty pickup truck. 1963 through 1968 model year C-1100 to C-1300 IH trucks could be had with diesel power, making them what some call America’s first factory-built diesel-powered light-duty trucks.
You'll probably still have to have the VC off to verify the valves are closed...... Too much oil can cause oil to get sucked up through the PCV into the intake. No oil in the air intake tube but oil in the exhaust can mean the valve stems seals are leaking or the turbo shaft seals.
One advantage of straight pipes is that they have very little backpressure. Straight pipes offer better flow than many popular performance mufflers. This can be helpful if you’re trying to maximize performance and fuel mileage.
For these cars, it’s common to delete one or more sets of resonators and replace them with straight pipe. Let me leave you with one parting thought, regardless of your preference to exhaust systems. Get in the habit of keeping hearing protection handy and wearing it. A hundred dollars of earmuffs placed where they are handy are cheap in comparison to thousands of dollars of hearing aids on the kitchen table. Speaking of the pickups we started with at the beginning of this column, I had an exhaust leak in one of my diesel pickups years ago. I pulled it into the shop and began the repairs but, wouldn’t you know, I needed a part from town and the truck was the only available vehicle that day.

Another big positive about Paradox Performance Mufflers is that you don’t need a whole new exhaust system with them. Simply replacing your stock mufflers with Paradox mufflers is often enough to get a big boost of quality sound. If you are purposely trying to annoy your neighbors and everyone around you, then straight pipes could be for you. Trucks are probably the most common vehicles to be fully straight piped from front to back. Any vehicle can have its muffler deleted- if it has one. Walker is your one-stop exhaust shop, offering a full line of mufflers, pipes, hardware and accessories.
The previous owner got to 76,000 miles before the factory stock engine was “extensively” rebuilt. So far the truck has made it another 20,000 miles w/o issues, but only does light (~3500 lb) towing these days. He’s looking to sell it mainly because it makes for a poor commuter vehicle and he is the only one in his family that’s willing to drive it. But that wasn’t all, as the 6.0 iron block V8 was physically a different engine. The 6.0 featured an oil cooler and high-pressure oil pump integrated into the block, helping the engine earn a more compact size than the outgoing 7.3-liter engine. Navistar’s continued changes by relocating the gear train to the rear of the engine and reinforcing for the bottom end.

Several loose rocker arms, loose pushrods, low pushrods(1 inch gap to rocker arms), several pushrods almost off their valves.
