The Band Toto Asia
Toto was expanding its production facilities abroad and operating in France, Germany, Indonesia, Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and the People's Republic of China. North America was seen as an opportunity to grow for Washlet toilets and bidet seats, as opposed its "base" markets in Japan and China.
Dhaniram Toto was documenting Toto words to ensure that the future generations would be able to read the words. However, many of the words were replaced with foreign ones, like dui from Bengali for verandah.
Origins
The company was founded in 1917 and its early years mirrored Japan's economic development. In the first half of its existence, the company manufactured products to meet the demands of modern and contemporary urban housing. To do this, it used the country's first tunnel kiln that produced ceramics in continuous flow. It also pioneered the use automation to control production, which allows for more efficiency and consistency.
The company began expanding internationally in the latter part of the 1980s to benefit from new markets and sales opportunities. The company established the Cera Trading Company to import and distribute other products from other manufacturers in order to expand its line of sanitary earthenwares as well as plumbing fittings. This strategy boosted sales and expanded the firm's market share in the world.
In the late 1990s, Toto had shifted its focus on research and development for household appliances that are water-related. It also improved its distribution system to better serve the needs of customers and boost profits. The company embraced a just-in time method of managing supply chains and applied the same method in its sales program. This resulted in a greater level customer satisfaction.
Toto has continued to innovate in the toilet technology. The latest toilet from the company features a powerful, environmentally-friendly tornado flush. Toto uses recycled water in its manufacturing process, and also has a green purchasing policy. Toto also manufactures faucets, bathtubs and hand dryers that have higher energy efficiency than standard models.
The first Toto museum opened in the year 2015. It has exhibitions on the most iconic products of Toto as well as their evolution, group companies (all of which are made from ceramics) and the history of plumbing, and other products like bath units. In another gallery, visitors will find Toto products that are sold across the world. 먹튀검증 커뮤니티 has the bathroom equipped with a WASHLET as well as other toilet innovations.
Before forming Toto, members of the band did sessions for many musicians. Keyboardist David Paich, drummer Jeff Porcaro, and guitarists Mike Porcaro and Steve Lukather all played on the album Silk Degrees by Boz Scaggs. They also played on records by Steely Don, Seals and Crofts and Sonny and Cher.
Discography
With a name like Asia, you would think that the group would be prog kings and queens but they're actually a fairly simple rock band. The group started out as a quartet and released two albums - 1979's self-titled debut, and 1980's Armed to the Teeth. Although the band have a diverse musical background their biggest hit was achieved in 1982 with Toto IV.
The album was a huge blockbuster, but not without problems. Record companies put the band on spot with the ultimatum "give us a hit record or we'll sack you" and the pressure was on them to give it. Toto was able to do this through the aid of the hit song "Africa."
Toto's musical mastery is due to their prior experience, as the band members had been session musicians for artists such as Boz Scaggs, Steely Dan, and Seals and Crofts prior to forming the group. Their sonic signature has since become the standard for '80s pop, influencing many contemporary artists.
The album begins hard with songs like Running Out of Time or Unknown Soldier that show the band's ability to create great AOR tunes that slowly get into your head. However, the album also includes some more mellow, jazzy tracks like The Little Things and Chinatown. The album concludes with Great Expectations. This song mixes folk and distorted AOR, which should appear completely unnatural, but actually works very well.
After Toto IV the band's fortunes began to decline. David Hungate left to concentrate on his solo career, and the band was through numerous drummers. In 1984, Bobby Kimball was fired from the band in wake of drug charges and the group continued to perform as a trio, which included Michael Porcaro and Steve Lukather.
Toto released Isolation despite the turbulence. It wasn't as well-liked as IV. The group managed to release an album that was chart-topping, Kingdom of Desire, in 1992. The album was the last of Toto's lineup and the debut of Simon Phillips, a new vocalist.

Line-up
The album's third, Turn Back, marked an reversion to the classic sextet format of previous albums and was a more powerful, constant effort with a harder edge than Hydra. Its edgier sound reflected the maturation of the group, with drummer Bobby Kimball's greater ability on the drums and an improved, mature vocal delivery by singer Joseph Williams. David Paich's keyboard work was also more sophisticated, sharper, and less derivative on earlier efforts.
After touring to promote the album, the band recorded a live performance in Amsterdam that was released as a two-CD set titled Falling In Between Live on Eagle Records. The group released a new studio album just a few months after and then embarked on a world tour to help promote the album. During this time, keyboardist Greg Phillinganes filled in for Paich, and bassist David Hungate left the group to spend more time with his family.
In 1998, Paich and Lukather started searching through old tapes and demos for an album that would feature songs that were never recorded before. It was released in the form of a double-album called Then and Now in 2001. It was the band's first album without one single track titled "A". The album also included a previously unreleased track titled "Kari-Anne".
By 2003, Toto had begun to decline in popularity. The group's fourth album, Old Is New was a commercial failure and vocalist Williams was suffering from laryngitis that limited his singing ability. Additionally, Hungate returned to Nashville as a drummer, and Leland Sklar was replaced by Shem von Schroeck.
Downes, Wetton Palmer and Howe, the founding members of Asia were in England in the early part of 2006 to discuss the possibility that the band could be revived. The lineup, with the exception of Howe who was working with Yes at the time, became Toto XIV. They toured extensively.
In 2010, the band reunited for another reunion tour with a slightly different line-up, including guitarists Mike Porcaro and Steve Lukather, drummer John Pierce, bassist Shannon Forrest, and multi-instrumentalists Warren Ham and Dominique Taplin. The band also had an appearance by singer Michael McDonald and a backing vocalist named Mabvuto Carver.
