Few studies focus on the simultaneous removal performance and mechanism of H2S and SO2 mixture in Claus tail gas with a high concentration of H2O (20-30 vol.%) and CO2 (8-10 vol.%). In this paper, the effects of H2O and CO2 on the simultaneous removal of H2S and SO2 for the by activated carbon (TL-1) were studied. Fresh (TL-1-F) and desulfurisation sulfur-loaded TL-1 activated samples (TL-1-E1 and TL-1-E2) were characterised by BET, elemental analysis, TG-MS, FT-IR and XPS. The simultaneous adsorption mechanism of H2S and SO2 on TL-1 in the presence of H2O and CO2 was discussed. Results show that the breakthrough sulfur capacity of TL-1 for the simultaneous removal of H2S and SO2 mixture reaches up to 301.6 mg S/g ads when the feed gas containing 30 vol.% H2O and 8 vol.% CO2, which is 40% higher than that without H2O. H2O in the feed is adsorbed on the surface of TL-1 and forms a water film. The adsorbed H2S and SO2 are dissolved and ionised in the water film, which is conducive to the adsorption removal of H2S and SO2 by TL-1 and the generation of sulfuric acid (55.8%) and S8 (44.2%). Meanwhile, CO2 is only physically adsorbed on the surface of TL-1, and does not participate in the chemical adsorption (or chemical reaction) for the removal sulfide process.Persons without family or friends to serve as healthcare agents may become "unrepresented" in healthcare, with no one to serve as healthcare agents when decisional support is needed. Surveys of clinicians (N = 81) and attorneys/guardians (N = 23) in Massachusetts reveal that unrepresented adults experience prolonged hospital stays (66%), delays in receiving palliative care (52%), delays in treatment (49%), and other negative consequences. Clinicians say guardianship is most helpful in resolving issues related to care transitions, medical treatment, quality of life, housing, finances, and safety. However, experiences with guardianship are varied, with delays often/always in court appointments (43%) and actions after appointments (24%). Policy solutions include legal reform, education, and alternate models.Based on the relevant data of construction waste (CW) in the People's Republic of China (PRC) from 2010 to 2018, this study applied K-means clustering algorithm and grey prediction methods to systematically investigate the spatiotemporal characteristic distribution and provincial clustering of CW in the PRC, and predicted the annual output of CW in the next five years from the scientific perspective. Results showed that the annual output of CW in the PRC displayed an overall trend of "rising first and then falling" and "being high in the middle east and low in the northwest," and the areas with obvious agglomeration gradually spread from the west to the middle and eastern regions. The law of development was consistent with the goals of the Chinese government to promulgate urban agglomeration development policies, prefabricated building encouragement policies, and CW management regulations. In the next five years, the annual output of CW in the PRC will increase by a small margin. Thus, all aspects of CW resource management should be conducted in a planned and step-by-step manner. In the process of handling marine oil spills accidents, the biological method has attracted wide attention due to its low cost and no secondary pollution. However, in the process of practical application, there are problems such as low microbial density and great influence of environmental factors when the oil is treated by spraying microorganisms on the sea surface. This study used immobilized microorganism technology to solve the above-mentioned problems. In this study, the bacteria immobilized on cinnamon shell (CS) with good degradation performance were obtained by optimizing preparation conditions. Under the optimal conditions of sodium alginate (SA) concentration of 4.57%, CS concentration of 1.28%, and the CaCl2 concentration of 2.45%, the degradation rate of diesel in 5 days reached 74.04%. The reusability of immobilized microbial agents was further studied. The study designed three cycles of repeated degradation experiments. The results showed that the degradation rate of diesel can still reach 60.12% after three times of reuse, which indicated the reusability of the immobilized microbial agents was excellent. The decrease in degradation rate of diesel was mainly related to the fragmentation of immobilized microbial agents and the decrease in microbial biomass.
The objective of this systematic literature review was to explore the value of positron emission tomography combined with low-dose computed tomography (18F-FDG-PET-CT) in the diagnostics of infective native aortic aneurysm (INAA).
A systematic literature review was performed using the search terms mycotic- and infected aortic aneurysms in Medline and Sciencedirect databases, published between 1 January 2000 and 1 January 2020. Using the PRISMA statement, articles were scrutinized according to a predefined protocol including timing of 18F-FDG-PET-CT examination, the maximum standardized uptake value (SUVmax), additional findings on examination, and findings on repeated scanning of 18F-FDG-PET-CT.
Four studies were included in the analysis, comprising a total of 11 patients. LW 6 ic50 Two studies were single case reports, and two were small case series, all were graded to be of low quality with high risk of bias. All patients were examined with a preoperative 18F-FDG-PET-CT, and 10 (91%) had increased 18F-FDG uptakse, in particular for patients with clinical suspicion of INAA without convincing findings on CT. SUVmax values ranging from 4.5 to 6.5 could be guiding and suggestive of metabolic activity in agreement of INAA. However, further conclusions on its usefulness, robustness and specific SUVmax values are premature, and a definitive cut-off value is probably not attainable.Vascular calcification represents a group of several pathological states of differing aetiologies. Mönckeberg medial sclerosis is considered to be more widespread in the lower abdominal region and lower limbs. We present a 59-years-old male patient presented right foot gangrene. At physical exploration, femoral and popliteal pulses were presented and the ankle-brachial pressure index was 0.45, and the toe-brachial index was 0.33. The patient underwent distal angioplasty of anterior and posterior tibial arteries and due to inaccurate evolution a transmetatarsal amputation was required. Mönckeberg's medial sclerosis is diagnosed with an ABI>1.1, however, questions have been raised about the validity and the role of ABI in diagnosis of Mönckeberg's medial sclerosis. Colour-doppler vascular ultrasound allow a non-invasive technique widely available to detect vascular calcification and to differentiation between Mönckeberg's medial sclerosis and the atherosclerosis-related lesions.
