The biological roles of ASAP2 were investigated using ASAP2-knockout PDAC cells generated with CRISPR-Cas9 technology or transfected PDAC cells. In vitro and in vivo analyses showed that ASAP2 promoted tumor growth by facilitating cell cycle progression through phosphorylation of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR). A repositioned drug targeting the ASAP2 pathway was identified using a bioinformatics approach. The gene perturbation correlation method showed that niclosamide, an antiparasitic drug, suppressed PDAC growth by inhibition of ASAP2 expression. We have previously reported that more than half of the patients who achieved desensitization after wheat rush oral immunotherapy (OIT) developed exercise-induced allergic reaction on desensitization (EIARD). However, data on EIARDs after slow OIT are lacking. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the results of exercise provocation tests (EPTs) in patients after slow OIT for cow's milk and wheat allergies.
This was a retrospective chart review of 87 EPTs in 74 patients. The EPTs were performed in patients who were desensitized to at least 6,600mg cow's milk protein or 5,200mg wheat protein with slow OIT and were identified to be at a high risk of EIARDs. EPTs were performed after ingestion of the maximum desensitization dose. The patients' clinical characteristics and symptoms were analyzed.
The EPT results were positive for cow's milk in 49% (21/43) of the patients and for wheat in 48% (15/31) of the patients. There was no significant difference in the clinical characteristics between the EIARD-positive and EIARD-negative groups. The specific IgE (sIgE) levels before OIT and the reduction rates of sIgE before and after OIT did not correlate with the outcomes of the EPTs. Among the EIARD-positive patients, 13 patients (cow's milk, n=7; wheat, n=6) underwent a second EPT, and the EIARD disappeared in 8 patients (cow's milk, n=4; wheat, n=4).
EIARDs were observed after slow OIT for cow's milk and wheat. Further research into the predictive factors of EIARDs in these patients is needed to understand its clinical manifestations.

Suppression of postprandial hyperglycemia may aid in preventing lifestyle-related diseases in working people. The present study aimed to identify the types and timings of exercises that can be performed by working people during a 60-minute lunch break that are effective in attenuating postprandial increases in blood glucose levels.
Healthy working people aged 20years and older were subjected to aerobic (AER) or resistance (RES) exercise before (Pre) and after (Post) lunch, assuming a 60-minute lunch break, with fixed 20-minute lunch and rest periods. These exercise sessions of 4 different patterns were performed by each participant. Serial measurements of blood glucose levels were obtained every 15minute using a Flash Glucose Monitoring System.
Data were analyzed for 11 participants who completed the protocol. Our incremental area under the curve (IAUC) analysis indicated that the AER-Post condition was associated with the most significant hypoglycemic effect, followed by the AER-Pre condition. Although the RES-Post showed no significant difference, a decrease in the IAUC comparison is apparent. However, the RES-Pre condition exerted no acute effect on blood glucose levels.

Health care managers are encouraging authorities of hospitals to appoint knowledgeable and experienced nurse managers to better coordinate and carry out the delivery of health care services. Nurse managers' governance practices have been identified as essential in ensuring quality health care delivery. This study investigated nurse managers' governance practices at the unit level.
The study employed a quantitative cross-sectional design to gather data from 522 nurses in 19 selected hospitals in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana. Data were analysed using descriptive statistics and linear regression analyses.
