The presented AuNR-based LSPR sensors could regulate the detection range by tuning the aspect ratios of AuNRs. Applicability is demonstrated via quantitative analysis of antigen-antibody interactions, DNA sensing, and surface-enhanced Raman scattering.Stretchable electronics are poised to revolutionize personal healthcare and robotics, where they enable distributed and conformal sensors. Transistors are fundamental building blocks of electronics, and there is a need to produce stretchable transistors using low-cost and scalable fabrication techniques. Here, we introduce a facile fabrication approach using laser patterning and transfer printing to achieve high-performance, solution-processed intrinsically stretchable organic thin-film transistors (OTFTs). The device consists of Ag nanowire (NW) electrodes, where the source and drain electrodes are patterned using laser ablation. The Ag NWs are then partially embedded in a poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS) matrix. Selleck Abivertinib The electrodes are combined with a PDMS dielectric and polymer semiconductor, where the layers are individually transfer printed to complete the OTFT. Two polymer semiconductors, DPP-DTT and DPP-4T, are considered and show stable operation under the cyclic strain of 20 and 40%, respectively. The OTFTs maintain electrical performance by adopting a buckled structure after the first stretch-release cycle. The conformability and stretchability of the OTFT is also demonstrated by operating the transistor while adhered to a finger being flexed. The ability to pattern highly conductive Ag NW networks using laser ablation to pattern electrodes as well as interconnects provides a simple strategy to produce complex stretchable OTFT-based circuits. We demonstrate growth control of Cu-based metal-organic framework (MOF) (HKUST-1) thin films assembled by the layer-by-layer technique on polymer films. The crystallinity and crystal face of MOF thin films were found to be controlled by reaction sites in polymer films such as hydroxy groups (the (100) crystal face), carbonyl groups (the (111) crystal face), and amide groups (the (100) crystal face). The HKUST-1 film growth amount is highly correlated with the polar component of the surface free energy, indicating that polymer sites, which afford hydrogen and coordination bonding, are important for the initial adsorption of Cu complexes. We also demonstrated a resistive switching device application using an HKUST-1 thin film on the poly(vinyl alcohol) dip-coated film at 40 deposition cycles, which suggests that the HKUST-1 thin film serves as a resistive switching layer with good film formation capability. While relatively uncommon, an overdose of calcium channel blockers, beta blockers, or digoxin can result in significant morbidity and mortality, and management can be complex. An acute overdose will require different management strategies than chronic toxicity while on therapeutic dosing. Toxicity from these agents must be considered in bradycardic and hypotensive patients. This supplement provides an evidence-based overview of emergency department management of calcium channel blocker overdose, beta blocker overdose, and digoxin toxicity, and focuses on the caveats of treatment for each.High efficiency and good stability are the challenges for perovskite solar cells (PSCs) toward commercialization. However, the intrinsic high defect density and internal nonradiative recombination of perovskite (PVK) limit its development. In this work, a facile additive strategy is devised by introducing bifunctional guanidine sulfamate (GuaSM; CH6 N3+ , Gua+ ; H2 N-SO3- , SM- ) into PVK. The size of Gua+ ion is suitable with Pb(BrI)2 cavity relatively, so it can participate in the formation of low-dimensional PVK when mixed with Pb(BrI)2 . The O and N atoms of SM- can coordinate with Pb2+ . The synergistic effect of the anions and cations effectively reduces the trap density and the recombination in PVK, so that it can improve the efficiency and stability of PSCs. At an optimal concentration of GuaSM (2 mol%), the PSC presents a champion power conversion efficiency of 21.66% and a remarkably improved stability and hysteresis. The results provide a novel strategy for highly efficient and stable PSCs by bifunctional additive.Anger is an important dimension of affect and a prominent feature of posttraumatic mental health, but it is commonly overlooked in postdisaster settings. We aimed to examine the distribution and implications of significant anger problems in the aftermath of a natural disaster, via analyses of Beyond Bushfires survey data from 736 residents of rural communities 5 years after the 2009 Black Saturday bushfires in Victoria, Australia. Assessments included the five-item Dimensions of Anger Reaction (DAR-5) scale along with measures of PTSD, depression, and significant mental illness, and indicators of life satisfaction, suicidality, hostile aggressive behavior, and violence exposure. The results indicated that approximately 10% of respondents from areas highly affected by the bushfires scored above the provisional cutoff criteria for significant anger problems on the DAR-5, which was a more than 3-fold increase, OR = 3.26, relative to respondents from areas of low-to-moderate bushfire impact. The rates were higher among women, younger participants, and those who were unemployed, and co-occurred commonly, although not exclusively, with other postdisaster mental health problems. Anger problems were also associated with lower life satisfaction, β = -.31, an 8-fold increase in suicidal ideation, OR = 8.68, and a nearly 13-fold increase in hostile aggressive behavior, OR = 12.98. There were associations with anger problems and violence exposure, which were reduced when controlling for covariates, including probable PTSD. The findings provide evidence indicating that anger is a significant issue for postdisaster mental health and should be considered routinely alongside other posttraumatic mental health issues.Free-standing electrodes with high energy density and long life are of critical importance to the development of lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) for flexible/wearable electronic devices. Herein, the free-standing and foldable V2 O3 /multichannel carbon nanofibers (V2 O3 /MCCNFs) composites are prepared via electrospinning and subsequent carbonization. Such V2 O3 /MCCNFs electrode delivers a superior capacity of 881.1 mAh g-1 at 0.1 A g-1 after 240 cycles. More importantly, the ultralong lifespan is achieved with a high capacity of 487.8 mAh g-1 even after 5000 cycles at a high current density of 5 A g-1 with only 0.00323% decay rate, which shows the best performance among the reported V2 O3 -based anodes and other metal oxides based free-standing anodes. Furthermore, this flexible electrode is further applied to the pouch cell, which exhibits prominent capacity of 348.3 mAh g-1 after 500 cycles at 1 A g-1 with 0.094% decay per cycle. The unprecedented performance can be ascribed to synergetic contributions of V2 O3 and multichannel carbon nanofibers, which not only promote the penetration of electrolyte and reduce the transport length of Li+ , but also increase active material/electrolyte contact area and buffer the volume change. This work paves the way to develop free-standing electrode for flexible/wearable electronic devices with ultralong lifespan.
Chronic symptoms of mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) vary greatly and are difficult to treat; we investigate the impact of meditation, yoga, and mindfulness-based interventions on this treatment group.
Search included four databases, allowing studies of any design containing pre/post outcomes for meditation, yoga, or mindfulness-based interventions in people suffering from brain injury acquired by mechanical force. Analyses used robust variance estimation to assess overall effects and random-effects models for selected outcomes; we evaluated both between- and within-group changes.
Twenty studies (N=539) were included. Results revealed significant improvement of overall symptoms compared to controls (d=0.41; 95% CI [0.04, 0.77]; τ
=0.06), with significant within-group improvements in mental health (d=0.39), physical health (d=0.39), cognitive performance (d=0.24), quality of life (d=0.39), and self-related processing (d=0.38). Symptoms showing greatest improvement were fatigue (d=0.96) and depression (d=0.40). Findings were homogeneous across studies. Study quality concerns include lack of randomisation, blinding, and recording of adverse events.
This first-ever meta-analysis on meditation, yoga, and mindfulness-based interventions for chronic symptoms of mTBI offers hope but highlights the need for rigorous new trials to advance clinical applications and to explore mechanistic pathways.

The Milan System for Reporting Salivary Gland Cytopathology describes several salivary gland fine-needle aspiration cytology (SGFNAC) morphologies developed by Griffith et al. Basaloid neoplasms are pleomorphic (PB) or monomorphic with fibrillary (MBFib), hyaline (MBHy), or other (MBOther) matrix. link2 Oncocytoid neoplasms can be pleomorphic (PO), demonstrate granular and/or vacuolated cytoplasm (OGV), or be monomorphic with mucinous (MOMuc), cystic (MOCyst), or other (MOOther) background. In the current study, the authors explore interobserver agreement (IOA) and risk of malignancy (ROM) for these subcategories.
The study included 169 SGFNAC cases with surgical follow-up. Four reviewers categorized these cases using the criteria of Griffith et al. with consensus determined by majority. link3 For all morphologic categories, IOA (using the Fleiss kappa) and ROM were calculated.
ROMs for basaloid categories were PB 100% (1 of 1 case); MBHy 71.4% (5 of 7 cases); MBFib 50.0% (3 of 6 cases); and MBOther 47.4% (9 of 19 et al. and incorporated into the Milan System for Reporting Salivary Gland Cytopathology demonstrated substantial agreement overall, with particularly high agreement for the MOMuc, OGV, PO, and MBHy categories. The PB and MOCyst categories demonstrated slight agreement and may be improved by revised criteria. The PB, PO, MOMuc, and OGV categories demonstrated high ROM, and the latter 2 categories might best be classified as suspicious for malignancy.Although lithium-sulfur batteries exhibit a fivefold higher energy density than commercial lithium-ion batteries, their volume expansion and insulating nature, and intrinsic polysulfide shuttle have hindered their practical application. An alternative sulfur host is necessary to realize porous, conductive, and polar functions; however, there is a tradeoff among these three critical factors in material design. Here, the authors report a layered porous carbon (LPC) with VO2 /V3 S4 heterostructures using one-step carbonization-sulfidation of metal-organic framework templates as a sulfur host that meets all the criteria. In situ conversion of V-O ions into V3 S4 nuclei in the confined 2D space generated by dynamic formation of the LPC matrix creates 200-facet-exposed V3 S4 nanosheets decorated with tiny VO2 nanoparticles. The VO2 /V3 S4  @ LPC composite facilitates high sulfur loading (70 wt%), superior energy density (1022 mA h g-1 at 0.2 C, 100 cycles), and long-term cyclability (665 mA h g-1 at 1 C, 1000 cycles).
