To apply continuing care to elderly patients with hip fracture undergoing surgery, and to explore its impact on life quality and long-term functional recovery.
This prospective study was performed in 136 elderly hip fracture patients, who were admitted to the department of orthopedics of our hospital for surgical treatment. According to the random number table, these patients were assigned to the control group and the experimental group (68 patients in each group). Patients in the control group received routine care and guidance for discharge, while those in the experimental group received routine care and continuing care for discharge. The hip joint function (Harris hip score), quality of life (MOS 36-item short form health survey score), compliance to functional exercise, anxiety (self-rating anxiety scale score), depression (self-rating depression scale score), postoperative complications (infection, joint stiffness, and deep vein thrombosis), and satisfaction in care after discharge were compared betwrm functional recovery of elderly patients with hip fractures is significant. Significant reduction of anxiety, depression, and complications is beneficial to improve satisfaction of care.
This study aimed to explore the clinical characteristics of 742 patients with re-current Corona Virus Disease in 2019 (COVID-19), so as to provide relevant evidence for clinical diagnosis and treatment of re-infected patients.
Altogether 742 discharged COVID-19 patients were analyzed retrospectively and were divided into re-infected patients (n=60) and non-re-infected patients (n=682) according to whether they became nucleic acid positive again after discharge. The time form leaving the hospital to re-infection and the time form the first nucleic acid negative test results to being re-infected were recorded. The clinical characteristics of the two groups were compared when they were admitted to the hospital. Logistic regression analysis was carried out on disease indicators with statistical differences between the two groups.
Compared with non-re-infected patients, there were statistical differences in age, contact history, fatigue, chills, nasal congestion and runny nose, lung CT observations, clinical classification and lymphocyte count of re-infected patients (P<0.05). Compound19inhibitor Logistic regression analysis showed that nasal congestion and a runny nose, a lymphocyte count less than 0.93×10
cells/L, and age ≥65 years were the risk factors of being re-infected. The ROC curve showed that the cut-off value of lymphocyte count was 0.847×10
cells/L, and the AUC of predicted re-infection was 0.867.
The symptoms of nasal congestion and runny nose, lymphocyte count less than 0.93×10
cells/L and, aged more than 65 years are the risk factors for the recurrent positive rates for COVID-19 patients, and lymphocyte count has certain clinical value in predicting recurrent patients.
The symptoms of nasal congestion and runny nose, lymphocyte count less than 0.93×109 cells/L and, aged more than 65 years are the risk factors for the recurrent positive rates for COVID-19 patients, and lymphocyte count has certain clinical value in predicting recurrent patients.
This study aimed to discover the relationship between the carotid atherosclerosis ultrasound parameters and the cardiac and endothelial functions of coronary heart disease patients.
150 patients with coronary artery disease were divided into a single-branch group (one coronary artery with stenosis > 50%), a double-branch group (two coronary arteries with stenosis > 50%), and a multi-branch group (multiple coronary arteries with stenosis > 50%) based on the severity of each patient's coronary stenosis. Meanwhile, 50 healthy volunteers who were admitted to the hospital for routine health checks were recruited as the control group. This study tested the ultrasound parameters of carotid artery atherosclerosis among all the subjects in each group [common carotid artery sclerosis (β), carotid artery compliance (AC), elastic coefficient (Ep), pulse wave conduction velocity (PWVβ)], including the left ventricular end diastolic inner diameter (LVEDD), left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) and endothelart disease.
The ultrasound parameter of carotid atherosclerosis, cardiac function, and endothelial function can be used for the early diagnosis of coronary heart disease. To explore the effect of comprehensive nursing on the recovery speed and prognosis of elderly colon cancer patients. A total of 110 elderly patients undergoing colon cancer surgery in our hospital from January 2018 to January 2020 were selected and divided into a control group (n=55, routine care) and an observation group (n=55, comprehensive nursing) according to the random number table method. The post-care stress state index score, surgical tolerance, postoperative recovery, postoperative complications, satisfaction, gastrointestinal quality of life index and other conditions were compared. The Numerical Rating Scale (NRS), Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD) and Hamilton Anxiety Scale (HAMA) and other indicators scores in observation group were lower than those in the control group; the observation group had shorter postoperative hospital stay, bed time, first defecating time, first anal exhaust time; the postoperative complication rate of the observation group was 9.09%, which was lower than 25.45% of the control group; the satisfaction rate of the observation group was 94.55%, which was higher than 78.18% of the control group. All the above differences were statistically significant (P less then 0.05). The Gastrointestinal Quality of Life Index (GIQLI) score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (inter-group effect F=172.100, P less then 0.001). The GIQLI score of both groups increased with time (time effect F=69.270, P less then 0.001), and the grouping and time had an interactive effect (interactive effect F=7.186, P less then 0.001). The application of comprehensive nursing in elderly patients with colon cancer has a remarkable effect. It can promote the rehabilitation of patients and improve the prognosis, which is worthy of promotion in clinic.
