(4) Conclusions There was an association with the degree of cognitive impulsiveness when performing motor task and cognitive task simultaneously. The Internet of Engineering Task (IETF) developed a lighter application protocol (Constrained Application Protocol (CoAP)) for the constrained IoT devices operating in lossy environments. Based on UDP, CoAP is a lightweight and efficient protocol compared to other IoT protocols such as HTTP, MQTT, etc. CoAP also provides reliable communication among nodes in wireless sensor networks in addition to features such as resource observation, resource discovery, congestion control, etc. These capabilities of CoAP have enabled the implementation of CoAP in various domains ranging from home automation to health management systems. The use of CoAP has highlighted its shortcomings over the time. To overcome shortcomings of CoAP, numerous enhancements have been made in basic CoAP architecture. This survey highlights the shortcomings of basic CoAP architecture and enhancements made in it throughout the time. Furthermore, existing challenges and issue in the current CoAP architecture are also discussed. Finally, some applications with CoAP implementation are mentioned in order to realize the viability of CoAP in real world use cases.Functional graded materials are gaining increasing attention in tissue engineering (TE) due to their superior mechanical properties and high biocompatibility. Triply periodic minimal surface (TPMS) has the capability to produce smooth surfaces and interconnectivity, which are very essential for bone scaffolds. To further enhance the versatility of TPMS, a parametric design method for functionally graded scaffold (FGS) with programmable pore size distribution is proposed in this study. Combining the relative density and unit cell size, the effect of design parameters on the pore size was also considered to effectively govern the distribution of pores in generating FGS. We made use of Gyroid to generate different types of FGS, which were then fabricated using selective laser melting (SLM), followed by investigation and comparison of their structural characteristics and mechanical properties. Their morphological features could be effectively controlled, indicating that TPMS was an effective way to achieve functional gradients which had bone-mimicking architectures. In terms of mechanical performance, the proposed FGS could achieve similar mechanical response under compression tests compared to the reference FGS with the same range of density gradient. The proposed method with control over pore size allows for effectively generating porous scaffolds with tailored properties which are potentially adopted in various fields. The aim of this work is to study the heat treatment effect, milling time effect and indirect mechanosynthesis effect on the structure of the mixture limestone/clay (kaolinite). Indirect mechanosynthesis is a process that combines between mechanical activation and heat treatment at 900 °C. XRD, TGA, FTIR and particle size distribution analysis and SEM micrograph are used in order to follow thermal properties and structural modification changes that occur. It is shown that the indirect mechanosynthesis process allows the formation of the equivalent clinker in powder with the main constituents of the clinker (Alite C3S, belite C2S, tricalcium aluminate C3A and tetracalcium aluminoferrite C4AF) at 900 °C, whereas, these constituents in the conventional clinker are obtained at 1450 °C.Leigh syndrome (LS) is most frequently characterized by the presence of focal, bilateral, and symmetric brain lesions Leukoencephalopathy with brainstem and spinal cord involvement and lactate elevation (LBSL) is a rare condition, characterized by progressive pyramidal, cerebellar, and dorsal column dysfunction. We describe a case with infantile-onset neurodegeneration, psychomotor retardation, irritability, hypotonia, and nystagmus. Brain MRI demonstrated signal abnormalities in the deep cerebral white matter, corticospinal and dorsal column tracts, and pyramids, which resemble the MRI pattern of a severe form of LBSL, and involvement of basal ganglia and thalamus that resemble the radiological features of LS. We identified biallelic loss-of-function mutations, one novel (c.756delC, p.Thr253Glnfs*44) and another reported (c.1156C > T, p.Arg386Cys), in NDUFV1 (NADHUbiquinone Oxidoreductase Core Subunit V1) by exome sequencing. Biochemical and functional analyses revealed lactic acidosis, complex I (CI) assembly and enzyme deficiency, and a loss of NDUFV1 protein. GAR-936 Complementation assays restored the NDUFV1 protein, CI assembly, and CI enzyme levels. The clinical and radiological features of this case are compatible with the phenotype of LS and LBSL associated with NDUFV1 mutations. The aim of our study was to investigate the cumulative effective dose of radiation resulting from medical imaging in orthopaedic patients with isolated extremity trauma. Deidentified radiology records of consecutive patients without age restriction with isolated extremity trauma requiring operative treatment at a regional hospital were reviewed retrospectively over a 1-year period, and the effective dose per patient for each study type of plain film X-ray, computed tomography, and operative fluoroscopy was used to calculate cumulative effective dose. Values were summarised as mean, ± standard deviation, maximum, and proportion with overdose (>20 mSv). The study cohort included 428 patients (193 male and 235 female) with an average age of 44 years (±28). There were 447 procedures performed, i.e., all involved operative fluoroscopy, 116 involved computed tomography, and 397 involved X-ray. The mean cumulative effective dose per patient was 1.96 mSv (±4.98, 45.12). The mean cumulative effective dose for operative fluoroscopy was 0.32 mSv (±0.73, 5.91), for X-ray was 1.12 mSv (±3.6, 39.23) and for computed tomography was 2.22 mSv (±4.13, 20.14). The mean cumulative effective dose of 1.96 mSv falls below the recommended maximum annual exposure of 20 mSv. This study can serve as a guide for informing clinicians and patients of the acceptable radiation risk in the context of isolated extremity trauma.
